Dog: Beckett (Greyhound Mix) – Golden, CO (May 2007 to Mar 21, 2016)
Beckett was diagnosed with a terminal cancer on December 3, 2015. He was given 2-4 months to live. In that time, he went on road adventures, ate the most awesome, yummy food and lived a wonderful life.
He started to slow down about 3 weeks ago, we thought we would have to put him down 2 weeks ago, but he sprang back to give us a little more time.
This past Sunday, Beckett started having balance issues and refused to eat and drink (too painful). His last meal was a heap of scrambled eggs and Boar’s Head Cheese – nothing too good for our Beckett.
We had to make the very sad decision yesterday to put Beckett out of his misery.
It was truly sad….as any pet lover knows. We are forever grateful for the past 4.5 years with Beckett.
