Tina was our family dog for most of her life. A beautiful light coloured Golden Retriever with the most placid nature and engaging character.
Everyone loved her when they met her. A true soldier having gone through many health problems over the past two years.
She literally limped on overcoming two strokes, paralysis and hip problems.

Dog: Ginger (Doberman), Tampa, FL
We got Ginger almost 16 years ago as a puppy, the prettiest red doberman, and full of life. Hence the name Ginger.
She Loved playing and running and her all time favorite was chasing squirrels and lizards There were a few times she even caught a couple snakes.
She was a very special girl. Two years ago, she had to have a mastectomy. Much to my surprise, dogs can get breast cancer as well as humans. The doctor said they don’t do chemo, but just let her have quality of life, and she would maybe only have six months.

Cat: Jack (Died 06/25/2011)
My family had to put one of our cats down on Saturday. His hereditary heart murmur led to a blood clot in his spine, which made it extremely painful to move his back legs.
He crawled into my parents’ room and started meowing. Actually meowing, not his usual pathetic squeak. Dad was the only one still sleeping there, so he noticed. He woke us kids up so we could all come with, if we wanted.
We couldn’t calm Jack down. He was meowing in pain, not panic, but he was being friendly as ever. When we got to the vet’s, she explained that his heart problems had caused a blood clot, he had little chance of survival, and that if he did make it, he would most likely go through this again at some point.

Dog: Salem (Golden Retriever) – Attleboro, MA (05/11/2010 – 12/23/2010)
Salem was our beloved puppy. We thought we had found our little puppy from fate.
Away on a vacation in Salem, Mass, we found out about a litter of golden retriever puppies that were for sale in our town.
We put in a phone call in as soon as we heard, and we got the very last of the litter … the little runt.
From the moment we brought him home, Salem was one of the family.

Dog: Jewel (Siberian Husky) – Christiana TN (Jun 1, 1998 – Jun 20, 2011)
We had to put our loving dog Jewel to sleep and stop her suffering. A big cancerous tumor caused you a lot of pain and discomfort.You were such a beauty and a great dog. Always so peaceful and quiet. Just looking at your beautiful and crystal blue eyes, I felt in peace. Rusky and you were my world.
Love and miss you forever.

Dog: Max – Swieqi, Malta (03/2000 – 05/28/2011)
Max was everything to me – my baby, my companion, my friend. Ever since I took him home in a shoe-box, he gave me unconditional love and knew that he was loved in return.
Even when I told him off for getting under my feet, he’d come up to me and lick my hand. I’d give anything now to have him underfoot again. He was a very happy dog with an ever-wagging tail. I used to tell him that one of these days his tail would fall off from over-exertion!
Everybody who came in contact with Max fell in love with him, and he loved everyone in return. He was never happier than when somebody visited and he had somebody else to make a fuss of him. And, if they stopped stroking him, he’d lift their hand with his nose to make them do it again.

Dog: Precious (English Bulldog) Spring, TX (02/22/2010 – 04/23/2011)
“Precious” (top of photo) was my baby, my companion, my friend. From the very first moment that I laid my eyes on Precious I fell in love with her and spoiled her in every way possible, from buying her a doggy birthday cake to even buying her another English Bulldog “Twinkie” (bottom of photo) for her to play while I was away at work or running errands.
I have never seen anyone enjoy life the way Precious enjoyed it. I remember rocking her to sleep when she was a puppy and all the times she made me laugh. Precious even died doing what she loved, walking.

Molly was the most amazing dog I have ever met. She has been with me since kindergarten and we have grown up together.
I have so many wonderful and happy memories of the times we shared together. Molly’s favourite things included swimming and playing fetch.
Molly became sick in 2008. Her blood disorder made her too lethargic to do any of her favourite things, but she was a fighter.
She lived for three years after that which demonstrates what a strong and courageous dog she was.
Six months before she died we moved to the country. Molly was able to enjoy a short time in her paradise where she could swim and run as much as she wanted.
I will miss Molly with all my heart.
She was always loyal to me, she could make me laugh and most of all she was my best friend.
I love her so much and will never forget her.

“With eye upraised, his master’s look to scan;
the joy, the solace, and the aid of man.
The rich man’s guardian and the poor man’s friend;
the only creature faithful to the end.”
