Cat: Isabella (Domestic Shorthair) – Amsterdam, OH (07/04/2000 – 07/01/2010)
My cat Isabella (Izzy) was the greatest friend anyone could ask for. I’ll never forget the first day I got her when she hissed at herself when she saw her reflection.
She was also my Ramen noodle buddy. I will miss the way she always looked at me with bright eyes whenever I came home or came into my room.
It’s now hard to even step foot in my room without breaking down into tears. It isn’t easy waking up without her. It just doesn’t feel right.
Her favorite thing was earwax. I don’t know why, but she loved earwax.
Right now God is giving her earwax and she is probably loving it.
I just hope she knows that I love her and miss her dearly. I will NEVER forget her.
She was my soulmate. She died 3 days before her 11th birthday.
RIP sweety.
Mommy loves you.

I sympathize with you right now. I just put one of my (3) cats Muffin to sleep on June 21, 2010. She had a tumour in her mouth. Came on suddenly, thought it was teeth problems and it was cancer. I was not ready for this as she was the youngest at t6 years old and was in good health all those years. Our other cats have kidney disease and one has seizures. We were expecting Dutches (Kidney disease & seizures to be leaving us not Muffin.
You cannot prepare yourself for this loss.
I am glad I work because it keeps my mind active. Weekends are bad when I am sitting outside where she loved to go, feeding my other cats and she would always be on the stairs when I went to work or got home.
I know she is not in pain anymore and I did the right thing. My head knows that not my aching heart.
I am going to do a Scrapbook with pictures, poems etc. and I will have lasting memories of her to look at. I will never forget her and all the years of “unconditional love” and affection she gave me.
I am sure Izzy knew you loved her and will miss her. She is a beautiful girl. Reminds me of my Dutchess.
God bless you.
PS If you have not read the Rainbow Bridge do so. It is beautiful.

What a beautiful tribute to Izzy! She sounds like the best girl and so loving. We understand your grief as we lost our 19 and 18 year old boys last year, two months apart. Time helps but our furry friends leave such a huge imprint on our hearts and I like to think that that’s a tribute to their greatness. Yes, I hope you’ve read Rainbow Bridge. There are also alot of supportive and beautiful poems on this website. Our sympathy to you and your family. RIP dear Izzy.
