what I’d do if either of my blue’s had to leave remains to be seen….. your landlord should owe you…. it’s good you guys are all okay… but what a price to pay.

Hello, Truly, I feel your pain and am so sorry you have gone through this terrible ordeal. I have kept chickens and ducks for years and before that, parakeets so I know that they are so clever and bond with their people, and have different personalities and varying degrees of intelligence.

Your animals have gone to a better place and you will see them again some day, this I cannot prove but feel in my heart that God honors the lives of other living creatures as well as our own, especially heroes such as your birds. He works in mysterious ways and we need to lean on Him in times of distress such as these.

However, you are entitled to compensation for your losses. Try going to the District Attorney’s office in your area and discuss this with them. They can advice you on where to begin, how to start. At the least, it will give shady landlords something to think about and may serve to save other people and their pets in the future.
