Dog: Tuffy – Chandigarh, India (01/26/1999 – 08/31/2009)
My pet Tuffy was a Lhasa Apso – Pomeranian mix. Tuffy my sweetheart, was there with me for ten years until his sad demise on 31st August 2009.
It was a shock to let my dog go like that in the ground. Tuffy was the pet I grew up with and the pet I shared my feelings with.
He was my sweetheart and we always would remain as one. His death was sad and one that caused him a lot of pain.
His kidneys failed and I could not do anything to help him. I felt so sorry for myself and never felt so helpless. I wanted to help him but couldn’t.
I love my dog the most and will never forget him. No dog can take his place in my heart. I love you Tuffy and wish you had stayed longer.
The loss of my dog was unrecoverable. I cried all day and questioned him why he did this. That is when I looked at the sky and saw Tuffy looking at me peacefully. That’s when I realized that he found his true place.
Will miss you Tuffy ….

A sweet poem just for my dog -
JUST MY DOG
He is my other eyes that can see above
the clouds; my other ears that hear above
the winds. He is the part of me that can
reach out into the sea.
He has told me a thousand times over that
I am his reason for being: by the way he
rests against my leg; by the way he thumps
his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he
shows his hurt when I leave without taking him.
(I think it makes him sick with worry when he
is not along to care for me.)
When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive.
When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile.
When I am happy, he is joy unbounded.
When I am a fool, he ignores it.
When I succeed, he brags.
Without him, I am only another man. With him,
I am all-powerful.
He is loyalty itself.
He has taught me the meaning of devotion.
With him, I know a secret comfort and a
private peace. He has brought me understanding
where before I was ignorant.
His head on my knee can heal my human hurts.
His presence by my side is protection against
my fears of dark and unknown things.
He has promised to wait for me…
henever…wherever–in case I need him.
And I expect I will–as I always have.
He is just my dog.

Oh, your Tuffy took my breath away when I saw him. He looks angelic, so adorable. His hair looks like softly swirling clouds.
He must have been so happy to be a part of your family. May you cherish your good memories of your special boy.

What a wonderful message of love for your adorable Tuffy! Adorable but a sad, tragic end to a short life. Know that he is now pain-free and also that he knows you did everything within your power for him. He was well loved.

I am really sorry for the loss you and your family are going through. Losing the one thing that never judged you is very hurting. I know I never want to face the day I lose my son, my baby, my everything.. And you are very lucky you know he is happy up in Puppy Heaven… He will always be there in thought, in memories, in your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. You have given Tuffy a very loving life and you have done what best you could to be with him. I have been in the same situation with my pets where you feel so helpless. Do not worry… He is in a good place watching over you and missing you as much.
